They mean so much in our lives

When you lose a beloved dog, sometimes the right words can help to make sense of your pain and possibly even ease it.

  • “Don’t cry because it’s over, Smile because it happened.”  Ted Geisel (Dr. Seuss)
  • “Dogs leave pawprints on our hearts”-Unknown Author
  • “A rose will still be a rose in heaven, but it’ll smell ten times sweeter.”-Meg Woodson
  • “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”-Winnie The Pooh

Broadsamlee Have Faith (Bart)

The 24th of April 2011 was a very sad day and we were devastated (and still are!) to lose Bart in horrible circumstances at the age of only five.

Bart had a sensitive, sensible and loving nature. He loved to play with the girls (like most men!), but when the play got rough he would happily release the toy and let them play with it, showing what a true gentleman he was!

He was an excellent stud dog. He was always eager to please, a very obedient chap and dearly loved by us all.

Words can’t express how much we miss our ray of sunshine, who will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Labralee Majore

Labralee Majore at Broadsamlee

Majore was the most lovable and loyal dog you could ever wish to own. Even though he was a big lad, he was a gentle giant, soft as a brush and very obedient.

He was a right character, once when we came home from 3 weeks in Orlando and the Key’s, he sulked for a good 5 days, every time we called him, he would turn away, bless him, but he soon came around in the end.

It’s such a big part of us gone, with Majore being one of our 1st stud dogs and the beginning of broadsamlee. He was an outstanding dog in many ways and a brilliant stud dog, luckily we have a few of his children around us, carrying on his beautiful nature and bloodline, he was our pride and joy for 13 years, he may be gone, but we will never forget him, RIP our beloved boy.

Labralee Son of Timber (Woody)

Woody was our big chocolate boy, a really unique dog, very loving and feeling and the protector of our flock.

He was always there if there was any sign of any trouble and he was certainly the one to sort out any other dog that showed any aggression to us or any of his friends, he never showed his teeth or growled, he would just simple head-butt any dog that was making a nuisance of itself with any of our other dogs.

A true lady’s boy he certainly was, and we’d had Woody for about 13 years.

It seemed that when woody passed in December, the day woody was put to sleep, was the exact day things started to go wrong with Majore and it seemed he wanted to be with him

Woody was a tremendous stud dog and a real looker, always the perfect Labrador and now reunited together again with his best friend.

RIP my beautiful chocolate button.

Alfie

Alife

Hi Tom & Lol,

It was nice to talk to you this afternoon albeit under sad circumstances of giving you the sad news regarding Alfie’s passing last week to Cancer. It has left a massive void for both me and Duane & the boys 🙁

We can take comfort that he is not suffering anymore and that for the last few years Alfie has been living by the sea and enjoyed his daily walks on the beach. I have uploaded a photo of Alfie which hopefully you will agree that he was stunning.

Many thanks for giving us the opportunity to spend 9 fabulous years with our beautiful boy Alfie.

Take Care

Oscar

Hi Tom & Lorraine,

We would like to pay tribute to our wonderful dog named Oscar who is now sadly no longer with us.

He was a lovely family dog and had a heart as big as a lion and was taken from us before his time.

We spent many a happy year together and he will surely by sadly missed now and forever

Many thanks for providing us with such wonderful pet

Blue

Blue

Hi Tom & Lorraine,

We brought this dog 8 years ago! He was a beautiful big yellow lab and he recently passed away, we really miss him and can’t believe that he has gone from us.

Since he has gone, we haven’t been able to get over losing him, so we have decided to have another dog, not to replace blue but to try and make our house not so lonely.

We have come back to the broadsamlee because of the fact we had blue off you and we had no problems at all with blue. We are looking forward to having another puppy to try and help us with our loss of blue.

Chloe

Labralee Dome Black at Broadsamlee (Cherry)

Cherry came to us when she was around 4 years old and produced 2 litters, the first producing 13 beautiful balls of fun, one of which we kept (a bitch called Muffy). Her second litter produced 2 more gorgeous puppies.

She was our first foundation bitch and produced our first Broadsamlee puppy and we have 4 generations from her.

Cherry was such a lovable and faithful dog and we are missing her so much, how can you not feel the pain when you lose such a dog.

RIP my darling, we will always love and miss you.

Cherry

Broadsamlee Lady Roxanne (Roxy)

Roxy is a 4 year old black bitch and has just had her first litter with us in December 2011. She is the 4th generation breeding from Labralee Dome Black (Cherry).

Roxy is the love bug of our family and is never happier than when she is being fussed over and if she could get any closer to you, she would. She is a very kind and sensitive dog and is a great mother to her puppies and a pleasure to be owned.

Jimjoy Little Brown Nutmeg At Broadsamlee (Meg)

Meg is a chocolate bitch who will be 4 years old in October and has impeccable bloodlines behind her.

She is a very loving dog and is often found stealing a few alcohol beverages that may be left around and within her sights, especially if there is ice in it.

Meg is a fantastic mother to her puppies and loves nothing more than sleeping between us on our bed.
